  5. What is a Whole Food Fermentate?

  • A whole food fermentate is a postbiotic ingredient made through a natural fermentation process. It is comprised of proteins, fibers, polyphenols, vitamins, amino acids, beta glucans and metabolites that altogether has been shown in clinical trials to support the gut and immune system. EpiCor is the most researched whole food fermentate.
  • So why is it considered a “whole food” fermentate? EpiCor is minimally processed and refined. EpiCor is made using plant-based ingredients that go through fermentation processes to produce a whole product. It is not an extract, chemically synthesized or made from by-products. The whole fermentation broth is gently dried to preserve metabolites.
  • EpiCor is a safe and healthy addition for people with gluten-free diets, vegetarian or vegan diets, or kosher diets that want to support their gut and immune health.
